I got these and the “Magic Dishwashing Gloves” at the same time to try out, and I’m glad I got both because they totally have different uses but are great if you know what you want them for. These are the thinner of the two, and these are the ones I use for dishes. The Magic Dishwashing Gloves I use for heavier-duty cleaning. I don’t love the fibers for some reason, but I just flip them backwards nad use the regular side and my old sponge. The silicone is thick enough that I can use very hot water, and after something like a straight month of use they’re not showing any wear yet. I’d decided to try silicone because the Mamisan dishwashing gloves started getting sticky in the fingers after about six months, and I wanted something that I wouldn’t throw in the landfill twice a year. Maybe I’ll write back if they’re still working a year from now. It’s worth noting that these DO slip on glass and porcelain, so the things you don’t want to break will be the most slippery. I don’t end up washing much of either of those by hand so it’s never been a problem for me, and they don’t slip on metal, wood, or plastic compared with any other dish gloves I’ve tried. They’re a little thicker than mamisan or your typical latex, but these are thin enough that I’ve never had an issue with the finer movements required by washing my dishes.
